DFP (la Documentazione di fonte pubblica in rete) è un repertorio di fonti informative, documenti e servizi prodotti dalle istituzioni italiane che aiuta ad orientarsi nell'individuazione di informazioni pubbliche disponibili in rete.

Per essere sempre aggiornati sui nuovi inserimenti della banca dati si possono utilizzare questi due servizi:

• Servizio di alerting via e-mail
• DFP-RSS: tutti gli aggiornamenti da DFP sul tuo computer

La Ovid offre in prova gratuita, per tutto il mese di maggio, la banca dati ICONDA, che si rivolge agli specialisti in materia di progettazione e costruzione di edifici.

Questa è la scheda di presentazione del prodotto:

“ICONDA, the International Construction Database, contains over 400,000 references to all aspects of planning and building from twenty three countries. Essential subjects are: architectural design and planning, construction of industrial, commercial, and residential structures, structural design, material properties and testing, public works and major construction projects, regional and municipal planning, project planning, finance and management, soil mechanics and geotechniques, maintenance, restoration, and conservation techniques, construction equipment and methods, and Computer Aided Design (CAD). All references are in English, and cover over 400 periodicals. Of those 75 are from the United Kingdom and over 60 are from the US. The references include abstracts of international books, research reports, conference proceedings, business reports and non-conventional literature. The user is provided with abstracts and detailed keywords for every reference”.

Con l'iniziativa Resource of the month la Ovid, specializzata in banche dati e risorse bibliografiche elettroniche di area scientifico-tecnologica, offre al pubblico la possibilità di testare ogni mese uno dei suoi prodotti.

Per tutto il mese di aprile potrete consultare gratuitamente la banca dati TRANSPORT:

"TRANSPORT consists of two component bibliographic databases produced by the world's leading transportation research organisations: The International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) produced by TRL Limited on behalf of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) based in Paris; and the Transportation Research Information Services database (TRIS) produced by the Transportation Research Board of the United States. Each database has a unique orientation. Together, the databases feature published research in transportation systems and their components: highways construction, traffic, transport, road safety, intermodal transport, environmental effects of transport, transport economics, transport policy and social sciences of transportation. References nearly all include abstracts and are predominantly in English, though 30% of the ITRD records are in one of the French, German, and Spanish languages. The records are drawn from research reports, books, articles from journals and reviews, theses, standards, specifications, conference proceedings, and summaries of research in progress".

La banca dati contiene più di 650.000 notizie bibliografiche e copre il periodo che va dal 1968 ad oggi.
